Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine

More than 60 years ago Nexsen Pruet started working with the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine, providing pro bono services for the Charity's hospital in Columbia, S.C. Attorney Julian J. Nexsen, who founded our law firm, also built this relationship with the Sisters of Charity.

Now, six decades later, the firm still serves the Sisters of Charity, along with more than 20 hospitals and several hundred physicians.

Nexsen Pruet's extensive health care practice is managed by 10 fulltime attorneys. They are experienced in all areas of law concerning the regulation, delivery, and financing of health care services. They also draw upon the knowledge of other lawyers in the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to our health care clients.

In addition, our health care group provides ongoing advice to several major provider networks in South Carolina. And the firm has served as counsel to both hospitals and physicians related to the sale of physician practices.
